Summer Camp: Rethinking Everything

Summer Camp: Rethinking Everything

The “Rethinking Everything Summer Camp” was organised on August 4-5-6 in collaboration with Ibn Haldun University and the Association for Psychology and Psychotherapy Research. The camp, which brought together students and experts in the field of psychology, provided a platform for both theoretical discussions and experience sharing.

The camp’s first day commenced with an opening and introductory programme held at the association building. Following the opening, the head of the association, Dr. Taha Burak Toprak, presented a talk titled “Rethinking Our Understanding of Self,” offering participants a different perspective and comprehensive framework on the subject.

The second and third days of the camp were held in the conference hall of Ibn Haldun University. During these sessions, association members gave presentations on the following topics:

-Rethinking Our Sources of Knowledge – Clinical Psychologist Nurşin Çetiner

-Rethinking Our Understanding of Guidance – Clinical Psychologist Hanne Nur Özçelik

-Rethinking Our Understanding of the Universe – Clinical Psychologist Beyza Özmen

-Rethinking Life and Death – Specialist Psychologist Meryem Karacan

-Rethinking Human Perfection – Dr. Hatice Rumeysa Işık

After the presentations, there were some discussions with other association members sharing their thoughts and helping out. The day ended with everyone sharing their experiences and there was a Q&A session too.

The programme concluded with an evaluation session and an autograph event. Participants summarised their camp experiences using concepts such as “brotherhood, guidance, rethinking, new perspective,” and shared the impact the event had on them.
