III. Symposium of Psychology and Psychoterapy in Islamic Thought
The 3rd Symposium on Psychology and Psychotherapy in Islamic Thought took place between September 30 and October 14, 2024. The symposium was a significant event that integrated studies from various fields of psychology with Islamic thought.
Participants who regularly attended and met the requirements of the seminar series held between March and July presented poster sessions in seven different fields: Psychotherapy, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Child and Family Studies, Psychopathology, and Health Psychology.
The symposium aimed to develop solutions to the challenges faced in modern psychology through the lens of Islamic thought. Participants discussed how the integration of psychology and Islamic thought could lead to new perspectives and research areas. This process once again highlighted the importance of combining these two fields.
The discussions held after the symposium generated strong expectations for increasing potential collaborations in the field of psychology and clarifying methodologies.
