The Final Session of the Psychology in Islamic Thought Seminars Was Held

On Thursday, July 4, the final session of the Psychology in Islamic Thought seminar series, jointly organized by Ibn Haldun University and the Association for Psychology and Psychotherapy Research, took place at Istanbul University’s Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Congress and Culture Center. Our Association President Dr. Taha Burak Toprak presented his talk titled ‘General Evaluation and Closing’, providing an overview of the seminar series.

Throughout the seminars, the need to reconsider concepts from Islamic thought and modern psychology was emphasized. The potential and limitations of these fields for psychotherapy were discussed. The significance of challenging the existing paradigm and organizing these inquiries in a systematic way was highlighted.

In the last seminar, questions that had arisen in people’s minds regarding the entire process were addressed and answered.
