The First Session of the Psychology in Islamic Intellectual Tradition 2024 Seminars Took Place

The seminars on Psychology in Islamic Thought, jointly organized by Ibn Haldun University and the Association for Psychology and Psychotherapy Research, were held on Thursday, March 7, at Istanbul University’s Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Congress and Culture Center. 

In the first seminar, Dr. Taha Burak Toprak delivered the opening speech titled “Psychology in Islamic Intellectual Tradition: Psychology in Islamic Intellectual Tradition Basic Questions and Basic Discussions”. The seminar focused on the possibilities within Islamic intellectual tradition and modern psychology. The seminar also focused on fundamental questions and discussion topics that could make it possible to consider Islamic intellectual tradition and modern psychology together.

The inaugural seminar, which concluded with a book signing session led by Dr. Taha Burak Toprak, initiated the Psychology in Islamic Thought seminar series.
