I. Symposium of Psychology in Islamic Thought

The first IDP&IGP Symposium, held between October 30 and November 1, 2020, enabled many students and mental health professionals from the field to present their work with the theme of “identifying the bottlenecks in modern psychology and offering solutions to this blockage by taking into account the Islamic intellectual heritage”.

The collaborative work of the IDP team at the symposium and Taha Burak Toprak’s presentation titled “A Method Example and Multidimensional Understanding of Reality” served as a roadmap on how to conduct studies on Islamic thought traditions and psychology.

The feedback received after the symposium included expressions of the common need for studies in this field and expectations for the work to continue unabated.
